 【主讲人简介】:
    Professor Sybrand van der Zwaag obtained his PhD in Cambridge University, UK in 1981. In 1992 he was appointed full professor in the field of Microstructural Control in Metals, TU Delft. In 2003 he was appointed full professor in the field of novel aerospace materials, which concentrates its research on the design of novel high performance metals, new polymers and polymer fibres and finally self healing materials. In 2012 he was appointed distinguished professor. Professor van der Zwaag is also director of the Delft Centre for Materials and chairman of the national IOP program on Self Healing Materials. He is member of various scientific and technical committees related to various aspects of materials science both in the Netherlands and abroad and is technical advisor to several companies.
    He has published 250+ articles in refereed scientific ISI journals, h factor = 21, and 200+ articles in conference proceedings. He has 6 patents in the field of materials science, 1 book on Self Healing Material and 3 book chapters on Aluminium, Biomimetics and Self Healing Materials. He supervised over 30 PhD students and 29 MSc students. He received funding > 27 Million Euro (excluding the 65 Million Euro for Netherlands Institute for Metals Research NIMR of which I was one of the four academic founding fathers)
    His research interests are in the field of micro-structure property relations for new materials as well as in the production technology to make such new materials.  Within this field he focuses in particular on the design and characterisation of novel high performance steels, aluminium alloys and titanium alloys, novel high performance fibres, self healing materials and finally novel polymer-PZT composites.
 【讲座简介】:
    Since 2005 the Delft University of Technology in the Netherlands and some other Dutch Universities and companies have been involved in a national research program on Self Healing Materials spanning all material classes, polymers, metals, ceramics, concrete and other materials. In this presentation some of the concepts underlying the approaches will be presented and a number of developments possibly leading to commercial applications in the coming years will be presented.
     2005年,荷兰代尔夫特理工大学以及其他一些荷兰的大学和企业开始进行自愈合材料这一国家级项目的研究。他们所研究材料几乎囊括了所有材料门类,有聚合物、金属、陶瓷、混凝土以及其他一些材料。报告中将会阐述关于材料自愈合的一些概念以及自愈合材料未来商业化应用的一些研究进展。
